The order in which this stuff works...
WD-40   Liquid Wrench    PB Blaster                      Kroil  ATF+
The spacing on the chart is important.
WD-40 is next to useless
Liquid Wrench sort of works.
PB Blaster has a good advertising budget.
Kroil just fucking works like it's supposed to.
Any of the ATF + Something works a little bit better.

Some people just HAVE to use some home brew concoction for any
number of reasons.
Just like making their own Caig DeOxit out of Naptha and Oleic acid.

Myself? I like to buy commercially available products off the shelf.
