Something I haven't seen mentioned is LED's cold weather operation. Not all LED bulbs respond well to outdoor applications if you live in a place where temps can drop well below freezing. Apparently the electrolyte in the (cheap) caps begin to freeze and changes the time constant of the switching supplies. Results can vary from 'no light' to a high rate of flashing. Nothing like waking up on a dark, cold winter morning and having the neighbors' deck lit up like a discotheque. -C
