A bridge rectifier, a few resistors and an opto-coupler like a 4N27.
The bridge rectifier make the "relay" non-polarity sensitive.
A note on polar relays: When used in a 60 mA non-polar (on/off)
loop, they had their second coil biased at 30 mA to switch it to Space
when the Mark (60mA) signal disappeared.
