Hi all!

This is great news that Russ is now on-line
with his W.U. M28ASR...

He is correct in saying, this machine in it's
Telex application is very rare , and quite likely
the only survivor...

We (In Canada), on the CNCP Telex network,
had a number of these 28ASR units in service...

Mostly high volume installations, where M32's
had been tried, and subsequently replaced,
as they were being overworked and were
continually failing...

The M28ASR made good sense...

A few of our units had the kbd mounted M28
ansback mech, but most were LABD500 units...

The dialer boxes were all Siemens 'L' units...

I didn't realize that W.U. had standalone enclosures
for the Teletype UCC dialers, until working
with Russ...

His unit, a UCC2, is very similar to the W.U. UCC9,
and the UCC27 used in the Canadian Telex svc...
