My understanding is that she invented the concept of frequency hopping, 
and Antheil contributed the use of a player piano roll sort of mechanism 
to direct the hopping.  Not surprising that the Navy rejected it at the 
time, since radios of the day were not very frequency agile, and a player 
piano roll is not something you would want to put inside a submarine.
