And as I recall the 103 modems have strapping options for which is the
originate and answer pair, and which is mark or space for each pair
separately.  That way they could get eight different mutually incompatible
ways of operating the same modems.  One was TWX, one was DataPhone, one
was WADS (Wide Area Data Service, tariff was not approved) one was called
WADS Prime and I have no idea what that was.
