I know I did work Dave a few times and tuned past his "ASR33" CQ a few more
times - very nice signal! You wouldn't have known all the machinations
behind it.
I think as long as you use at least three letters for your / designator
you'll be safe. How about a Q code? QHM? :)
In the FWIW category, I use an ST8000 as a decoder in contests. It still
decodes more consistently in its AM mode than available software decoders.
Looking forward to seeing your results - but be sure to submit your log by
January 12th!
