We have a good group here - that if someone announces that they're
looking at something, we don't get into a bidding war against
each other.

A few years back there was a 35-KSR on eBay. I announced to the
group that I really wanted it - and if someone else wants it
to contact me offline and we'll discuss how much we're willing
to pay for it. He didn't want to go into the kilo-buck range, so
he didn't bid on it. That saved me some money.
