    The problem is that this machine has only ONE jack, 
switchable via software for either input or output, I don't think 
it can do both. On my old machine I could connect internally via 
settings on the sound card. If that's possible on this machine I 
can't find out how. I will have a look for Soundflower.
    One of my back burner projects is to rebuild the old machine 
and put Linux on it although I also have a Windows-7 disc. Maybe 
dual boot.
