[GreenKeys] Flesher TU's...

With good signals such as used on FM in the VHF and above bands they are fine and work as well as most any TU. Should be the same for ITTY . I would expect almost if not perfect copy, same as any of the higher price units.

AS they require both the mark and space tone, they did not work as well on the low bands where the signal fades and there are other stations near by. They did work about the same as the HAL ST-4 and 5 series, but not as well as the st-6. They were not really a dog by any means and worked well if the signals were good and in the clear.

If you have one working, give it a try on the low bands copying something like the W1AW station.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Flesher TU's...

Hi all!

Noticed a short while back, Jim pruitt had

posted a msg regarding a mention that the

Flesher TU170 was not such a great performer,

and was used primarily on VHF...

I have a cuple of the 170's , one as a parts "Spare".

I tried one of them briefly on ITTY, and seemed

to copy ok...

Are they a "Dog" as far as latter day TU's are

concerned...?

I have very little knowledge about them!

Just wondering if any other GK'ers tried them

and what issues they may have encountered

while using them...

Thanks for any info!

Cheers & 73'
