[GreenKeys] equipment needed for documentary filming in Seattle area

Better yet, insist that the owner be 'on the payroll', at $5.00 per day plus meals**, and that will allow the
him to be around to see that the machine(s) are not mishandled, etc. It would provide some legitimacy
for his attendance to keep track of the machine.
(**) If they are having meals catered for convenience.
This would be independent of any 'costs or fees' agreed upon for the use of the machine, if that was to
happen.
It wouldn't hurt for the owner's name to appear in the opening or closing credits, either. It might also
be nice to see "GreenKeys" mentioned. If anyone happens to see it and wonder what GreenKeys is,
they can probably find someone to ask.
(If the ARRL were involved in some kind of historic project by supplying equipment, I'm certain that
they would not be the least bit reluctant to have the ARRL mentioned.)
Just my $0.02 worth.

73 and good luck to the project. I watched one of the videos that was mentioned in an earlier GreenKeys
release and enjoyed it. From a 'historical' book about Apple, I was led to believe that the 'mouse' was one
of the developments at XEROX Palo Alto Research Center. (aka PARC) From that book I also remember
the trip offered to a number of Apple Computer employees to visit PARC and make notes and perhaps take
photos of what they saw for use in later development of later Apple products. (LISA and McIntosh) The
rest is history.
I have vague memories of surplus XEROX computer boards being offered for sale in ads in 73 Magazine
and Ham Radio Magazine. I often wondered how a fully developed company like XEROX could get into an
area and not make money at it? Not as if that field had limits in the early days. A ham friend of mine got
one of the XEROX computer boards and got some use from it, but discovered that there was not a great
number of software developers for that processor/product. A 'unified operating system' did not exist, so
those who got them all went off in their own direction and even with sharing between users, the item did
not exactly flourish.
Anyone else remember XEROX computers on the surplus market?

Cool! I’d do it if I were local. Of course the usual precautions apply: Insist that you go with your teletype and have full authority over how it is handled. If local, bring it there yourself, set it up, take it down, etc.
(Engelbart's demo is referred to the mother of all demos)

"I'm a filmmaker looking to find some old computers to film. One of which is a model 33 Teletype.
"We are working on a very special documentary. It's about the man who invented the computer mouse. Douglas Engelbart. Please check out the trailer:

He's located in Seattle. If you are inclined to help him with this, please contact Davi Silveira directly at vidasilveira85 at Gmail.com .
You might mention that I referred you just so he knows where you came from. ;)
