I have assembled one already and getting ready to assemble three more.

John has a package that includes the bare circuit board and the endplates
for the Hammond case his board was designed to fit. At least he did a
couple of weeks ago when I got the three from him I'm starting on now.

The parts, when ordered from the vendors his BOM files indicate, do cost a
fairly pretty penny. At the quantities for one board the cost came in
around $130.00.

In my case I had three SMT ICs soldered on by a "professional" and I
completed the remainder of the board myself with just standard soldering
tools. Although I do have a Weller soldering station with a fairly small
tip. If you have never done any surface mount assembly this might not be
the best one to start with, but with the exception of the three ICs
previously mentioned all in all it wasn't that difficult. And it WORKS!
