That's the kind of thing that today you look in the parts book and
nearly throw up. To add those features they had to design little
metal parts that would do the job and not interfere too much with whatever
else was already in there, and then manufacture those parts on punch
presses and things. Whereas today it would be a few lines of code for
a microprocessor.
