[GreenKeys] TU question about CV-89A/URA-8A

Hi folks,

Has anyone had thoughts or success in modifying a CV-89 to use the modern tones with 170 Hz shift.

The way the filters and discriminators are designed, the frequency response of the narrow shift discriminator is too low and the frequency response of the wide shift discriminator is too high.

These units are in sealed cans so I suspect nobody these days really knows what is inside them or do they!
