Well, I have gotten a wee bit closer but not quite there yet. I have got my
28ASR (AN/UGC-6K) restoration complete and have just finished building a
relay sequencer to handle antenna changeover and transmitter keying. Here's
my hookup so far -
SEND - AN/UGC-6K (28ASR) to CV-3510B/UG AFSK keyer to AN/URA-30 SSB exciter
RCV - AN/URR-74 receiver to Dovetron to UGC-6K and TT-176/UG (28KSR)

My only RTTY transmission so far has been from the exciter over the air to
the URR-74 located a few feet away. Next stop is hooking up the exciter to
the 1kw linear. I'm hoping to actually tickle the ether before the end of
the year,

The AN/URA-30 exciter is a tube-type frequency-synthesized SSB/ISB exciter
- about 1/2 w RF output from 72 tubes - it was my resurrection project
earlier this year -
