[GreenKeys] 7.42 vs. 7.0 machines/

So it appears that out of the 3 machines Dan and I are working on, two
are set up for 7.42 and the other 7.0. It seems that there shouldn't be
a problem communicating when manually typing, but are there issues with
tapr transmission (not that we have any tape gear yet). What brought
about the 7.0 in the first place, military wanted to squeeze out a few
more WPM on their circuits or what?

The biggest problem I see is that we can't swap printers willy nilly
since the keyboard drive gear is different. (well the RO base doesn't
care) The 7.0 pair are an LK25BRW and LP77YD/AGM. Does that sound
military? I frankly hadn't looked at the other two enough to be sure
what there are. Took the sprocket feed printer off the RO base and put
the LP14 from the KSR on the RO base and it played. That doesn't prove
anything since the RO base is a don't care, and we haven't gotten around
to doing much other than replacing rotten line cords and restoring
original wiring in the RO LESU. No testing with a keyboard yet. Eric's
USB to loop jewel proved the RO is ready once we do the clean and lub
process.
