[GreenKeys] Teletype Model 15/19 motor going bad?... repair???

Hi all,

Thank you all very much for all of your replies on the 19 motor problem I was having earlier last month - got many replies back.  I’m sorry I didn’t reply back sooner - was in a car/motorcycle accident since and have been trying to work that out… but found a couple of problems, as suggested by some Greenkeyers here.  My first problem was that the flywheel on the back was loose.  I can’t take it off for whatever reason, but nevertheless, the screw was loose.  That was the major source of the noise it was making.  The second was the oil points and thank you so very much for pointing those out!  As much as I had read up on oiling on the main printing unit, etc., I never read up on the motor.  My feeling is that old oil has dried/built up underneath those “BB’s”… some frequent nursing with some new, synthetic oil, it seems, has cleaned things out and has made it all happy again.
