Been there, done that...  They do the "weak" eye first.  Did you notice 
that you can suddenly see blue colours again?

Oh, the plastic lenses (mine are non-conforming i.e. permanently fixed at 
infinity) require "sand-blasting" (as they call it) every few years with a 
laser, as some sort of a film builds up over them.
