[GreenKeys] OT A little..Book Review

Like some others on this group, I have a parallel interest in mechanical 
calculators and other business machines. I happened upon a book that 
looked quite interesting, " Before The Computer" by James Cortada. It 
tells the story of IBM, NCR, Burroughs, Remington Rand and many others. 
I was expecting a technical history of the development of office 
machines, but the book is almost totally devoted to the business details 
of development, marketing, and sales statistics. If these subjects 
interest you, it is a good book to get.  They are of zero interest, 
indeed negative, to me, however, and the purchase of the book was a waste.
