Note - the neon lamp display looks erratic because of the video camera frame rate - in real life the display is very stable.

I've repaired the wiring and got the electrical issues sorted out, and the neon lamp blinks and the distortion controls distort like they should. Cool!
But, as usual for me, I am uncertain about the mechanicals. I've never seen one before so don't know if some gear/bearing noise is normal, or if it is supposed to hum like a top, or ?? The ball bearings were gummed up but I've cleaned and greased them.
This one is geared for 100wpm so that disk is spinning at 600rpm. It is an interesting gadget and I plan to make a video of it in operation.
