Good for Tom.

 

Now you do not have to wait for weeks.  As soon as the examiners send the
results to the FCC by internet, in  a short time his name should appear on
the internet FCC site with his call sign.  He can start operating then with
nothing in hand.

 

Sure beats waiting a month or more like it was when I took the exam.  Back
then seems like a QSL card company  ( Little Print Shop ? ) would send you
advertisements with your call before  the FCC did. I think CQ magazine did
me the same way.
