Jep that's a M8650 pdp8 e/f/m uart card and its setup for currentloop.
maybe you noticed a loop on the pcb side of the cable. that is to
connect the serial out part of the card to de currentloop part.
all manuals are downloadable from bitsavers archive here:

schematics are also there.
you should download the first three maintenance books for the jumper
settings. this card is explained in Vol. 1 page 3.157
I'm in the process of fixing two machines right now. A 8/f and a 8/e and
a BA8-AA expansion chassis. On the 8/f I made the failure to connect it
to the BA8-AA with one ribbon cable the other way round, so a lot of
N8235 chips are fried now. I almost have finished a replacement board
for that chip...
