Pete,
Just to add to the confusion, there were (at least) two styles of "stamped" bases, the "old" style that incorporated cable hooks into the stamping and the "new" style that used separate press-on inserts.  Wayne and I have disagreed over the years as to which style was "old" and which was "new" but I am pretty confident that the pans with the stamped cable hooks came after the cast bases and before the inserts.

One reason I asked is, in the pictures the unit with the stamped base has a metal chad catcher vs a plastic one on the other.
Swapped with another sometime in their lives ?
