Just like to throw in my philosophy :
We can't rebel and change anything until 51% are on the right side. Unfortunately, we will never see 51% because there are too many couch potatoes and don't-care-attitude-people around on this planet.

Grocery and other bags now cost 10C in California. This is to
encourage their re-use and discourage having old bags everywhere (some
of my best friends are old bags).
There is definitely some inflation going on. I notice it especially
at the grocery store but its everywhere. The producers will blame it on
oil prices and the oil companies in turn blame it on the hurricanes but
its been going on for a long time. I think its happening because the
goods producers know they can get away with it. Like so many other
things in life we complain our heads off but never actually do anything.
As far as you car: are you a member of AAA? If not consider it. In
most states they will deal with the motor vehicle bureau (or whatever
they call it) for nearly everything. I have been a member since I was
old enough to drive and its paid for itself every single year. I just
got a "new" car and had my call plates transferred to it. AAA did it
all. Also, whoever you are getting your car insurance from make sure
they know you can get it cheaper elsewhere, they will often match the
lowest rate you can find. I got AAA to halve my rates. Insurance
companies work on the assumption that most customers won't fight back
and will fold up if you do.
Both castings and stampings have advantages. For instance, many
people thing cast loudspeaker frames are best but, in fact, a stamped
frame is less likely to warp and can often be straightened when it does
warp.
