[GreenKeys] It's alive!

Hi Steve,
The manual I have is TM11-2246. I bought it from Fred Schmidt at the same swap meet in Atlanta the same day I got the printer portion of the AN/FGC-25. I drove to Mobile AL some weeks later to pick up the reperf unit and the table and misc. stuff from the seller.

I think I saw this TM for sale on eBay once but it was a long time ago. I do not have a digital version and it is hundreds of pages. In the back are a complete set of engineering drawings and specs for all of the springs!

I was able to do a total tear down and rebuild and adjustments of my set thanks to using this manual. I ordered parts (mostly springs) from Mr. Schmidt using the part numbers shown in the manual, and he would send them to me along with the bill (fancy that happening these days!).

I have several demonstration videos of this set on Youtube on my channel "Random 73". Also my MC6800 microcomputer demonstration video shows how I use the microcomputer to operate the AN/FGC-25.

Don

 Don and Tom,

I have a complete AN/FGC-52X set, but it is not
 operational.  I do have
 several other
Kleinschmidt pieces of equipment that are operational
 however
 (TT4, TT76, TT98 and a TT122(?)).

 Don, you mention the manual,
do you have a complete copy?  Is it in printed
form or by chance do you have it in PDF form?
The -35 manual is  by far the
 most
important manual to have.  Some of the others are nice to
 have, but not
as necessary as the -35 one is
 to have.

 Hi Mr. Kleinschmidt,

 I acquired and restored a
 complete but not-working AN/FGC-25 set in 1977,
and totally overhauled/restored it to full
operation with the help of the
 service
manual, parts, and tools from Mr. Fred Schmidt of
 Typetronics in
 Florida.

A little over two years ago I put it back in
 operation again after more than
 25 years
idle or in storage. I posted about it to this forum but I
 don't
recall if you might be aware that
there is at least one complete AN/FGC-25
 set
still in operation. My wife thinks I am a nut for having it
 all these
years. When it was in storage she
wanted me to get rid of it but I wouldn't.
I operate it at least once every 2 weeks or so
just to keep it limbered up.

I know of no one else that has an operational
 AN/FGC-25 set today. Do you
 know of anyone?
Thank you for any reply ( I might not see a reply for a
couple of weeks due to imminent travel).
