I have the distinction of being the second i-Telex user state side, although though using a plain jane 28KSR a or Kleinschmidt TT-98.
And I "elmered" Nick, N0NCQ, in to getting started, and now he has gone 'wild' man. He now has #4 as Henning puts it (it literally showed up in his garage last week) and will soon be joining the i-Telex group.
Jack, K2TTY, became the third and Paul, W0TTY, isn't far behind to become the fourth i-Telex used. Nick, N0NCQ, will soon be joining us as well as a user in OK that already has the board set.
As for those that think rolling your own with a PC is better and much cheaper, I say good luck to you out there on your island by yourselves. The approx $200.00 is much, much easier and then you can dial any of us already connected and those joining in the future. :-)
