Both Siemens and Lorenz never exported wooden cabinets with their machines,
at least not to overseas countries as far as I know.
Export models were sold either with metal covers or eithout any cover and
the
cabinet was build in the importing country" by the custome" himself.
This was often made for Export the other European countries,

Although in Germany 90% of all machines of this time were sold in wooden
cabinets.

I would assume the reasons were import restrictions and freight issues,
so they never decided to export them.

Maybe Ken from Canada that used quite a number of Lorenz and Siemens
equipment, can tell us if they had wooden cabinets in use.

Western Union and RCA bought quite a number of Siemens machines
for their Telex networks, tailored to their specific demands.
