Hi all!
Our friend pete's situ is by no means "Unusual"...
Many times, pallet sets are changed in the field, without ensuring
the I.D. "Stud" matches the contents of the box...
Quite often, if a typebox is badly ink plugged, the field
tech changes the box to save the customer's downtime, and his hands!
Before doing so, I wud always look at the type box pallets to ensure
it was the rite set...I never went by the I.D. screw*...
*This is the little "Hex" screw that has the typebox code stamped into it...
It is even more common with the 28 typeboxes, one can expect anything...
The I.D. screw is not always correct with the pallets...
Kinda like the movie of Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates,
you never know what yr going to get...(Something to that effect!)
Have fun changing the pallets, Pete, and watch out for those weird
little springs...
Cheers!
Ken
