You can find hundreds of photos of Navy receivers used for RATT (RTTY) on
my web pages.

Shipboard HF RATT the most common receiver with the CV-89 would have been
AN/SRR-13() and R-390A/URR (not R-390).

Comm stations ashore

would have used diversity receivers AN/FRR-24 (3000 lbs, 440 tubes),
AN/FRR-28 (SP-600 based), AN/FRR-23 (same as SRR-13), and various
combinations of R-390A/URR.

I'd recommend an R-390A as an excellent performer and period match for your
CV-89. You ought to be able to find a working one for $200-400. Only the
pristine super-restored ones go for $1000.
A working SRR-13 might be anywhere from $50-200.

My opinions FWIW.
