Related, when I lived in Kuwait, our nominal voltage was 240/415VAC.  Almost all houses and commercial properties were three phase, the 240VAC, a phase to ground and the 415VAC, phase to phase.

Minor correction: it's 240v nominal (and was 250v in Western Australia for
a while; those sand-gropers always were strange), and has been
"harmonised" to the European standard of 230v (but I'm still measuring
anything around 245v).

I just checked mine, and it's 246v...  Then again, the local sub-station
isn't all that far from me.
