Doug, that is quite a website you have there. Must have taken a lot of time to develop, but very interesting. You are right, the flat stop works, just as the other stop does. Can't figure it thou, I only have 3 of the flat stops and 6 of the others. Having a removable tab block would be neat. This Friden tab block is bolted in and would be difficult to change compared to just moving the stops.

It looks just like all the tab stops that are in the tab rack on the 1968-vintage model 2201 I've done some work on.  I posted photos here:

I can't see any difference in the photos of your clip and mine.
