Interesting! I have Ethernet in the house/office so this would work fine.
If it works at 50 baud, I believe it would work at 45. I see they make
single port devices also. Thanks for the info!

Hi folks,
I followed this thread and just wanted to remind the following alternative:
I made good experiences with Digi-Portservers instead of USB-to-serial
adapters. They are installed on the Laptop and you can talk to them as Com-
Port. I even use them in my mobile station and they provide 8 Com-Ports
(there
are different sizes as well) for remote control and data to modem. And as it
is connected via LAN, you have access from different computers.
But as living in Germany I must admit I did not try to use 45,45 Bd as we
use
50 Bd.
