[GreenKeys] "New" machines in the stable - seeking information

Hi group.

I was lucky to come by two "new" machines for my collection of Teleprinters

A fine Siemens T1000 RO and a Creed 7B/CTK will join my two Siemens T37 and the Olivetti T2-CN in collection.

Now to the questions:

Can i retrofit a keyboard to the T1000 RO? There seems to be extra connectors on it’s mainboard for keyboard, auto answer etc - but i miss documentation & schematics to be sure. Is there a service manual in existence that has schematics so i can see how to put together a keyboard for this?
As a RO it is of very little interest to me, so converting it to be able to send would make it much more useful.

Now to the Creed 7B.
It needs a total restoration - it’s not rusty, but a lot of the “white” metal parts has this white fuzzy covering - i guess it’s the cadmium-coating corroding because it has seen some moisture in the air.

It seems to do both printing and perforation in the tape (i’ve just run it by hand for now) - is there any way to turn off perforations and only print on the paper tape?

I want to take off the keys and clean them one by one - the top of the keys is a presumably a brass ring with 4 tabs folded down under the key-body. Under the ring there is a sheet of clear plastic which under is the printed text. Quite a lot of them has sucked in some oil so i want to clean them - is it safe to un-bend these tabs, or will they just break if i try?

The 7B came with a big (!) sound proofing box. The top of the box is partly hinged so it can be opened for adjustment on the paper path. It has holes to feed in paper and to feed paper out. Is it original? It does not bear the Creed-logo or any type designation, but it does have this black “crinkly”-paint that was classic at that time.

My standard go-to solution to fix old stuck mechanics is a partly teardown, soaking parts in a mix of turpentine and mineral oil - it has worked perfectly on the old T37 and T2 machines, but i’m not sure about painted parts - it may strip the paint- any advice on this?

With the two machines i also got some keys. There are the tubular kind from Chicago Lock co. - do they have any use in Teletype-systems? because i can’t find any key-holes on the machines i got.

Some pictures of the stuff that i got: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gneu0qyg0ifwefm/AADvssdhaehMJo_5zl_MyCrqa?dl=0 <https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gneu0qyg0ifwefm/AADvssdhaehMJo_5zl_MyCrqa?dl=0>

That was a lot of questions for now, and i hope that you will be able to help me do something useful with these machines.

Regards,
Per.
