Hi all!

My tks to those folks who have submitted
postings regarding these machines...

I heard about these teleprinters a few years ago,
but knew little about them or what made them 'Tick'...

>From what I have learned so far is, W.U. made several
models 100-105 (?)

Perhaps the higher model numbers were variants
of the basic Model 100...

Gil, you had mentioned a Model 103 version,
if you have a minute, wud you be able to give us
a brief overview of the printing unit mechanics?

Duncan had posted a cuple of pictures of a Model 100
and 103, which I have been sorta "Studying"...

It is a teleprinter design, the likes of which
I have never seen...

I am guessing the main shaft drives a power roller
bail which operates cam type "Followers" interposers(?),
which engage type bar linkages, perhaps similar
to Flexowriter operation (?)...

Somewhere in my tech stash, I had a parts list
of the kbd assembly, and as I recall, used a lot
of Teletype parts using the same numbers...

Anyone have any further info on this, i.e.,
a third party built the printing unit, but W.U.
made the kbds with some parts furnished
by Teletype?

I am really curious about all this...

How well did these machines perform and stand up
in everyday service?

Apparently, they were built for quite a few years...

I guess my interest in them comes from their
contribution to the history of teleprinters in
general...

Tks for any further info...

Cheers!
