It may be surprising for many people to look at the covenants on
their homes. Even though the terms of the covenants have become illegal
they are still there in print: no sales to Jews, Blacks or other
"colored people" and other minorities. Many of us now find these
requirements odious and reprehensible but in the dim and maybe not so
distant past many would not buy property not covered by something of the
sort. So we still allow restrictions on having anything higher than the
eves of of the house or painting in other than approved colors or maybe
having certain kinds of plants. These people will always scream about
their "rights" but what they consider their rights are the right to
restrict other people's rights. All too often what some people consider
their "liberty" is the power to restrict other people's power over their
own lives. That's called license, its not liberty or freedom.
To keep this program on the air donate to the cause. send your
dollars to me, I will spend them having liberty and freedom.
I promise no more political haranguing.
