Jeff,

When were you working on the TT-523s?

We have one in the AWA Museum, but I never understood their real 
purpose.  I know they were for low-level (50-100uA?) signalling between 
the TT-76 & crypto gear.  But in Viet-Nam (1967), we just connected out 
TT-76s directly to the KW-7 crypto gear set to low-level and they worked 
fine.
