I didn't realize my identify was some kind of mystery around here.. I've never made any attempt to conceal it, or even to remain overtly anonymous. If you've not come across it, it might be that you're a newer member, or just haven't paid much attention to what I've variously written. 

My name is Bill Layer, and I'm from St. Paul, MN. Been a member here for a couple-three years now, was referred by friends & co-members of the cctalk mailing list. 

I'm not a HAM - not that I never had the interest.. Back in the 90s I did in fact learn the code and study for the tech. test, prior to the dropping of the code requirement. But times and priorities changed, and I never got around to testing for a ticket.

You may well be able to walk away with loads of stuff for less than half of scrap value.. or they will give you the number of the guy that comes and cleans the place out.
