Oh, yes.  I've seen one.  There was also a wooden table for the 19.  I
have one.

I think in the 1930s it was fashionable to have office machines that
looked like wood furniture.  Teletype machines with metal covers could be
had hand-painted to look like grained wood.  I've also seen cash registers
similarly painted.

In the same time frame there were more utilitarian styled things such as
tables made of angle iron welded or riveted together.  Teletype Model 12
for example.
