Keith,
Congats! Well done!
Take a look at the AB drum contacts and make sure all the vertical contact wires are in place and upright as they should be. I couldnt figure out the AB message but they usually were an abbreviation of the company and the city where they were located. Like IBM NYC as an example.
I see your tape reader is not fastened down fully. You will eventually have to fit it to your cover. There are 5 screws that come up from the bottom. A center one to hold the TR and 4 adjusting ones. You can raise, lower, slide and tilt the TR till it fits the cover perfectly using all five of the screws. Tricky job If you have never done it before, but I suspect you will get it. When done all 5 of the screws will be snugly tight.
I attach a pic of a TR fitted properly to the cover. Zoom in to see the fit. TR is flush with cover, not touching cover and cover not touching the TR lid latch so it can move freely.
At Western Union, customers used to complain about the TR being noisy and it was nearly always touching the cover which amplifies the sound.
Best regards,
Wayne
