[GreenKeys] Teletype Corp. Type UA 14 (was "Nice TD")

I noticed the label on the ebay TD says "Teletype Corporation Type UA 14 
Transmitter Distributor"

The GPE/Iron Horse perf we have at the AWA Museum has a very similar 
label (enclosed), but says
  "Type UA 14 Keyboard Perforator."

I had thought that "UA 14" was unique to the GPE, but now seeing it on 
the TD, it is apparently more generic to M14?

What was the significance of the "UA" designation?

Has anyone seen a "Type UA 14" label on a M14 reperf?
