For your amusement and edification, here is a quick and dirty demo of the
Manual Tape Message Address Segregator I have been working on.

Thanks to Doug Hensley and Jim Haynes for the equipment and docs and to
various greenkeyers for advice and help. This afternoon I finally got past
finding problems with bad diodes, bad relays, and bad relay contacts, and
fired up a working system.

This device takes a formatted message tape with multiple destination
addresses and turns it into separate message tapes for each addressee. It
consists of a relay logic panel, tape reader, monitor printer, and up to 8
reperfs (I have 3 hooked up). It all runs at 107wpm.

To do this, relay logic recognizes character sequences for Beginning of
Message (ZCZC), Start of Address (FM), the end of the From line (CR/CR/LF),
the end of each addressee line (CR/CR/LF), and the body of the message (BT).

Since it is a manual segregator, the tape halts at the proper times to
allow the operator to turn on/off the appropriate reperf for each addressee
line. So the end result is multiple message tapes, each with only a single
addressee shown.

Dang, those Teletype engineers were wizards!

Thanks for the help and encouragement. What a great group.
