Howdy folks--
Sorry for an OT post, but it seems at least somewhat related to what we're
doing here.
An old colleague of mine, Phil Galanter, is working on an art project and
wants to make some number (50? 100? 200?) of copies of a punch card. It
doesn't matter what kind of punch card, he just has words on it, no funky
symbols. Back in the day, he worked with and developed quite a bit of CDC
software and is now a prof at Texas A&M. He and I were colleagues while I
was on the systems group at Northwestern University's Vogelback Computing
Center.
He writes to me:
Hey Phil, do you by any chance know of a service, or collector, or pack
rat, that has a keypunch machine with working copy drum and printing
mechanism I could use/rent/pay-for-service?
All I've been able to find so far are card reading services.
If you, or someone you know, can help him, could you drop him a note? His
email is galanter at tamu.edu.
Cheers, everyone,
Phil
