Steve,
Roger that, using a PC for logging or radio control has nothing to do with sending and receiving of RTTY signals using an electro-mechanical teleprinter.  What the rule is directed to is a software "teletype" running in parallel to your electromechanical - so you are not obtaining information from a glass terminal that for whatever reason is not printing on paper.
In my humble opinion, you are good to go with your flex and PC.--daveW5DT
