Al,
Forgot to mention - there is a 115vdc power supply on the TT-117A - just
a bridge rectifier across the AC line - for the motor stop relay. Don't
know how much current it can provide. I think you said that you had the
Kleinschmidt power supply that mounts under the paper roll. That would
be better - it has a transformer, but I think it is only rated at
100ma. If you use any of the old KLI supplies, replace the selenium
bridge rectifiers with silicon diodes. (Selenium can put out poison gas
if shorted out!!)
There is a pdf of the TT-98 manuals available at
http://rattrig.com/manuals/tm's.htm. The TT-117 is a modified TT-98 and
most of the mechanical sections are identical (except for the keyboard!)
The TT-117 keyboard has a character counter for when you are cutting
tape and all the little levers are for setting tabs.
