[GreenKeys] OT: Hugo Gernsback's callsign?

Not certain of the timeframe of Gernsback. Prior to some point, there was no FCC, and another government
agency was responsible for testing and issuing of ham licenses. (Department of Commerce comes to mind.)

Another possible research site might be that of the Radio Club of America. They celebrated their 100 year
anniversary in recent years. No telling what they might have either still on paper, or converted to some
form of digital data.

Gernsback might have been a member of that group. Might be worth a few e-mails if absolutely 'finding out'
is important.

And, a lack of membership in RCA does not mean he was not a ham back then.

(I've been compiling a list of "Notable Amateurs" for quite some years, and he'd be a nice addition; preliminary version avalable at www.horsfall.org/lona)
