[GreenKeys] 2 1/2A SCREW IN FUSE

I wouldn't use the old style for troubleshooting but once things are running right, a fuse ought to be fine for years. If fuses are popping frequently, then yeah, it would be suboptimal to keep throwing in vintage hardware. When I get my hands on some more machines, I'll be putting the old style in just for 'authenticity.'

I can certainly understand why one might want to have at least one correct, original fuse for completeness' sake, but I can't imagine why you'd want to actually +run+ these old fuses when it's so easy to adapt a cheap, modern AGC-type glass cartridge fuse.

Should something go wrong, I don't see the point in burning through costly / NOS / vintage fuses.  It's also much easier to temporarily up-rate the fuse for diagnostic purposes.

I mentioned that my local surplus store has a lot of those types & offered to check the amp ratings in stock & prices. Might be able to beat the e-pay price & the $8 postage but no one asked.

I think there was a discussion on these before and I happened to come across these on the e-pay place:

No connection.
