It's the same old problem about CR CR LF

When I compose email, I make it a point to hit Enter (Return on the iMac)
around 60-65 characters.

If your "compose" window is only 65-70 characters wide, you can just keep
typing, and the text will word wrap at the right hand side, but it won't add
the CR LF.

It looks good, until someone tries to read it in a full width window.
