John,

I saw the "LINE JACK" out in the middle but on the copy that came in here, 
the circle was to the right, around what's labeled "RECEIVING LINE CORD AND 
PLUG".  But thanks for reminding me what the contacts were.  I recognized 
the similar one for the keyboard.

But if the entire machine were wired complete with polar relay and the 
NEUTRAL-POLAR switch set as drawn,just as the 19 schematic shows, then yes.  To 
stop the machine running open, you would need to jumper
