[GreenKeys] CRLF or not CRLF?

For some reason I keep thinking of the ancient DEC VT-05 glass terminal,
with its 72 columns (not 80) and 20 lines (not 24), and requiring a weird
delay after a CR/LF. Oh, it also displayed upper-case only, but if you
flipped an internal switch it would actually transmit lower-case.
The cogniscenti here of course will realise that monocase 72x20 would
easily fit into the small display memory chips of the time, whereas 80x24
full case would've been pushing it...
Oh, and the thing was current-loop by default, not RS-232 (apologies to
the loopers out there!),
