Hi guys!
Most if not all, the i-Telex info can be found on the German
web site at teleprinter.net...
This site is maintained by our good friends there, Henning
and Fred...
Both of these fellows helped me so much with advice and
great patience, while dealing with the internet aspect of
the installation...
I had great problems with Bell Canada flatly refusing to
give me a "Static" IP address vs. a "Dynamic" one...
Eventually, I went with a dedicated cellular channel which
solved all these issues, and the install went perfect after
that!
Now, I believe our good German friends have made it
even easier to get on i-Telex, with different PCB packages
to accommodate all user requirements...
My set up is designed to emulate exactly the Siemens
TW39 Telex exchange, and it is connected to a Teletype
Model 32ASR...
It uses DC pulse dialing (Rotary), in the original format
of 40ma @ 130V +/- neutral signalling, 2 wire...
It also has a second channel on the TW39 board which
in the near future, will be dedicated to the WU model 15
Telex version recently received, and presently being worked
on (Thanks Jim!)...
I enjoy the i-Telex immensely, and sincerely encourage those
with some interest to look into it further...
Cheers!
Ken
